Homecoming

My oldest is a Freshman, wow!  Where, oh, where did the time go?    Here he is with his homecoming date…….hey, don’t worry, they’re just friends people!   I told him he can’t date til he’s thirty (25 with good behavior LOL)!!!!!  Anyway, they went to homecoming with two more friends, and  then of course, the little sisters had to jump into a photo…..I mean…….don’t all little girls dream of wearing dresses like this?   They had a good time, but WOW has homecoming changed a lot since I was in high school.  What happened to a dance in the gym wearing a blue jean skirt or a sweater dress?

Senior season……..

I wanted to share a fun session from a few nights ago.  I seem to shoot many more senior girls than guys, so this always challenges me.  This guy was so comfortable with it all and did everything I asked him to do.  Maybe I should rephrase that……..I didn’t really have to tell him much………he was a natural.  We used some cool locations……I love downtown urban shoots for texture and unexpected backgrounds.  Anyway CJ, thanks for a great session, and here’s a sneak peek for you.

And this is the “boy in the hood” look…………so okay, maybe this isn’t his personality………but hey it’s cool and fun nonetheless!

So this is my oldest……a few weeks ago we ran outside to catch a few shots before I ran out of light, and I planned on going back out on another day to take some more……..I still haven’t!  I’m such a procrastinator when it comes to my personal photography.  So here’s what I have………..maybe I’ll get all my kids done before Christmas…….maybe………..

Oh man, isn’t he good looking?!?!  I mean, I’m not biased just because he’s my nephew…….he IS good looking………he’s so fun to be around too.    He visited over the fourth with his parents and brother, so I took some time and did his senior portraits for him.  Anyway,  my fourth of July guests left on Monday, and  after they got back home, he and his brother drove back up here ( a six an a half hour drive) to spend more time with us!  My kids were thrilled, and so am I.  Thanks Missy for letting them come…..this sneak peek is for you!

I took my niece outside to shoot a few pictures of her.  Not so easy…….she’s a ham and spent most of the time giving me cheesy grins…..the other kids were vying for attention and and the dogs kept trying to get into the background.  Anyway…..I got a few shots……….can you tell she loves the camera?
